Jerash, Jan 4 (Petra) - Jerash Governor Malik Khraisat announced Sunday the reopening of the Zarqa River sub-street (Al-Majdal) leading to Borma District in Jerash Governorate, after it had been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure. He confirmed that all preventive works and safety measures had been completed, and all hazards threatening public safety had been removed.

Khraisat said that teams from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing worked to remove rocks and soil from the street shoulder to prevent potential collapses, following a technical study conducted by specialists from the Jerash Public Works Directorate in coordination with relevant authorities, Jerash Police, and the Traffic Department.

He added that the governorate’s administrative office continues to work in coordination with all service departments and municipalities to monitor hotspots and track reports received by the governorate’s main operations room, especially during prevailing weather conditions.

Khraisat urged citizens to exercise maximum caution during low-pressure weather systems and to adhere to guidance and instructions issued by the relevant authorities to ensure public safety.
